Love Often Demands Things

Comment by a man:

My Post:  Who among us would not call out for the military of the United States if this were at our doors? Who would not demand that? Would the cost of war be a point if your child were at risk of torturous murder and suffering? It has become a very small planet and the same dangers which lurk in Iraq, and are a threat to the Iraqis are finding fertile soil in which to grow, as the broken government of Iraq falls. Those dangers have been promised by the leadership of IS to one day lead to the accomplishment of their goal of flying their flag 0ver our White House. We do not live in world where there are options about war. We can resist war all day long, and should, but this evil gets a vote too....

Comment by a man:  Joe, rather than sitting in a safe ivory tower, looking down one's nose at all of the "false reports" about mistreatment of our Christian brothers and sisters, all anyone, including you, has to do is fly to Erbil and interview the refugees. Here is the info on what planes fly into that city. I hereby pledge $1,000 toward your airfare.

My comment:  He took down my offer to go in on that with you... does that not suggest an ethical question for Joe, considering his claims of not blocking any posts other than those containing vulgar language and references to disturbing images?

I Have a Lot to Say

Remark by a woman:  This article is pointless. Absolutely besides the point. I don't doubt that it is happening and that much worse is happening. We don't need pictures as proof. Just like we don't need pictures of the women and children being raped. These people are monsters and need to be stopped at all cost.

My reply:  I think it is not pointless at all. It speaks to a very large lacking. I just looked up Joe Carter. He is one of ours. Straight out of the Southern Baptist Convention, and full of arrogance and pride, refusing redirection from a host of believers. He is young enough to be my son... and I can tell you, I have raised a passel of sons... I need the contact number of his mother. I need to speak with her in order that we might go before the Father on behalf of Joe concerning his stiff neck. In raising sons, and in my own experience, I am familiar with the repercussions of a stiff neck before the Father. I think he had best stay out of bodies of water which are large enough for a great fish to call home.

Remark by a man:  I became an Evangelical Christian late in life. For the first time i understand this passage, Revelation 22:20
......Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

My reply:   And amen, but not one minute before the harvest of the last soul who can hear of the love of God, His saving grace, and in the contriteness of heart broken before Him in the realization of their sin, and their need for the gift of salvation. I suspect that Joe's real beef lies in a suspicion that Brother Andrew and the other gentlemen is a part of the One World Church movement. That is not so, just because he is the friend of the Muslim cleric, sits and dines with many Muslim friends, and lobbies for their rights to worship as they please does not mean he is faithful to anything but the Gospel of Christ. For the Gospel to go out into the world, that freedom to choose which God granted to each of us, must not be hampered by forcing the Gospel. That can't be done anyway... but there is a promise, "If I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto me." Just like when the water was poured on the altar, at the end of the day, there will be certainty as to who is the ever lasting God. Please Lord, hold back the forces of evil, that we can tell the nations the glories of all You have done, and of Your love which leaves me in awe as I consider it toward me, and the rest of humanity. Tarry Lord until the very last of the harvest, and be with Daniel the young Sheik, who under Brother Andrew's ministry came to him in the night and pleaded to be baptized in secret, for he had encountered the living God. He can only attend church, and be taught the Word of God at the American Embassy. To try to learn of God, or assemble with the body of believers in any church in Iraq would mean sure and quick death. Bless your servant Lord who was willing to carry the Gospel to Daniel, and thank you for the opportunity to come to call Daniel friend. Continue to send mentors to him in the faith, since Randy can no longer be there with him. Comfort and strengthen him as he tries to defend his young family, and all of Iraq, as he leads his tribe. Let him become free to be the open witness he desires to be. In the Matchless name of Jesus whose blood provides for me the complete confidence to come before You with the prayers of my heart, knowing the gift of salvation covers all my sin.

Some of My Posts

One of my posts:  Mr. Carter, your arrogance concerning this matter continues to say to me that you have some other agenda. The NBC reporter who collected the first hand report from a man off that mountain is exactly the kind of report you said was needed. Now that this report has been made public here, have you changed your requirement for verification of these horrendous acts to heads being found in the park in Mosul? What an arrogant and insulting reply. Pride Sir, still goes before a fall. You seem incapable of admitting to being wrong. That is a personal problem that only you can fix. Those two men you accused of at the least exaggeration, are due an apology, as well as the children and their families who have lost their lives in this manner. Those two men who have spent their lives in service to our Lord on behalf of the people of Iraq are due a humble apology from you. It is time for your immediate supervisor to see that this web site does what is right before God. We are all instructed to walk humbly with our God. You have encountered such criticism because of your willingness to be so generous with the enemies of God, and so cryptically critical of those who live and work for the sake of the Gospel in a place I suspect where you have never set foot.

My post in response to her post:  I think it is not pointless at all. I think he had best stay out of bodies of water which are large enough for a great fish to call home.

A post from a man:  I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

My post in response:   Now there is truth, irrefutable truth, and comfort for those who mourn the loss of their loved ones. You know it is not the beheaded children or adults which we should be mourning with. They stepped out into eternity and the welcoming arms of the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit and the mighty hosts of heaven welcomed them home. It is their surviving and suffering loved ones who live on trying to survive and wondering why the world has seemingly forgotten or ignored them. We waited far too long before we sent the power of the United States military to protect them. Did you know that in 2003 when the United States military first invaded Iraq that the Christian church was still surviving since God forced Noah to return to Nineveh and preach to them repentance and the love of God for them, as he grumbled to God that they were not worth it. They numbered around 3 million, and Saddam Hussein provided them protection as they are a hard working people who provided many tax dollars, since they were taxed at a much higher rate. Most of them were astounded that some American Soldiers were wearing cross necklaces, the symbol of Christianity. They did not know that Christians existed any where in the world except for Iraq. The only jewelry our military is allowed to wear is wedding rings and religious symbols. Evidently this small body of believers has received very little support from the church at large.

My Next Response:  Those surviving are living with horrors and heartbreak they have endured for their faith. My husband and I run a small retreat on our ranch in Texas for the support of military and their families, and a Soldier who has overcome by the grace of God crippling PTSD was broken hearted and experiencing feelings of guilt at not "finishing the job we went there to do." Of course I told him that never at any time was it in his control what the US Military would be ordered to do. Can you imagine the chains of depression and grief which must be entangling the hearts of these gentle Christians.

My next post:  The numbers of the Christians of Iraq now are estimated to be around 200,000.

Sometimes, Even and Old Woman Must Draw a Line, and Take a Stand

I must reshare this article I stumbled upon online.  I have discovered, in acute dismay that this young man who wrote this article which makes insinuations, and statements, represented falsely as fact, is a leader in the Southern Baptist Convention, I should have immediately noted that TGC stands for The Gospel Coalition, however, I have not felt so well lately.  Now to the point of line I am herewith drawing in the sand... CONCERNING CANON ANDREW WHITE, BECAUSE OF MY DEEPEST REGARD FOR THIS MAN, AND HIS SERVICE TO THE LORD FOR THE PEOPLE OF IRAQ,  I HAVE GOT HIS BACK, WHEN HIS ARMS TIRE, I CAN AND WILL LIFT THEM UP.  IF ANYONE PERSECUTES OR ATTEMPT MALIGN HIM, WE ARE GOING TO DANCE. I am old enough to be this young man's mother... and to those of you who know me well, you know I have skills in that area.  The author of this article needs rebuking in the love of Christ, we all do sometimes.  He repeatedly keeps lying.  I do not think that he intended to do so in the beginning.  I feel that he was trying to establish a platform of restraint, and then his ego got in the way.  Unfortunately that is not the needed area of emphasis in this matter.  Only about half of my comments are posted, despite the fact that he has repeatedly assured all readers that the only things which will block a post are vulgar abusive language, or links to sites with graphic violent pictures of the carnage.  (note, the image below was posted by him.)  The problem that I encountered with this piece was the unsupported innuendos toward two of God's servants who have devoted their lives in service and support to the people of Iraq.  He made the most absurd accusation against Cannon Andrew White under the fire of many, many, negative reactions to his article.  He stated that the reason he believes that Cannon White should not be considered a reliable source, despite his being in Iraq, is because due to Brother Andrew's influence and exaggerations concerning WMD in Iraq, and the overstatement of the persecution of Christians, the United States was influenced to enter into a war in Iraq.  Randy belly laughed when I told him that, and by the way, in 2003 his clearance was "top secret security clearance," as he was involved in studies at the Army War College for his Master's Degree in Strategic Studies.  I want any attackers of Canon Andrew White to understand, I may not be able to spank a three month old kitten and win...physically,  but I too have journalistic skills.  Threaten or harm in any way this man of God or his reputation, who has poured out his heart in the love of Jesus Christ for the people of Iraq and we are verbally going to dance.

Here is the link to the post which appears on the The Gospel Coalition, which I normally would praise.  I must also make this disclaimer, I have long been a Southern Baptist, and this man does not in this article accurately represent the average Southern Baptist, he has allowed his ego to mar his testimony.

I will be posting my responses here, as I have no confidence they will be posted on this article.

A New Family is at the Ranch

At first the female Great White Heron just showed up to hang
out with the ducks which live on the pond at the ranch.

I saw her more and more frequently, but
it was always difficult to catch a picture.

Then looking out the kitchen window, I saw her again,
along with three smaller versions of the Mama!

She has had three baby chicks which she
had taken out of the nest for their first outing!
