The name of the book is by Soon Ok  Lee and titled Eyes of the Tailless Animals. 

There is a song called "Human Flesh Being Sold in the Market," by the David on You Tube, if it doesn't touch your heart, cry out to God for mercy, because He will hold against you and judge you for your lack of compassion...

Losses to the War on Terror, the Stats are Out for 2012

The stats are out, 313 men and women lost their lives in combat.  As much as that grieves me, my heart collapses at the thought that 325 took their own lives as well,  I shudder to consider that there is reportedly a "storm of suicides among family members of those who have served coming."

Yesterday morning I had started cleaning out the truck when the phone rang and I went limping up the stairs to answer it.  (I am never going to get over this broken leg.)  A couple of hours later Jet came through the house and asked if I had intended to leave the truck doors open, since I was now busy on another project I told her no and asked if she would close them for me.  Later, I had my camera, and I was going out to take pictures of the new baby bunnies.  As I stepped out on the porch, a mocking bird caught my attention.  It was trying its' best to get into my truck.  I watched for a good ten minutes then filmed for another ten minutes.  Then I decided to see what the bird was so intent at getting at.  Evidently they are putting some good stuff in those Doritos!

A Little Surprise

Went out to clean out the rabbit hutch.  Guess what! Five little baby bunnies!

 Mama Bunnie is so proud of them, and she and Daddy Bunnie like to be petted while we brag about how pretty the babies are in those soft cooing voices we all talk to baby thing in... well Marines don't do that, or Army guys, but I have heard maybe some of those Navy guys do....

Of course we must find new homes for the young ones, I remember what happened that year all my kids did Ag projects of raising rabbits... The neighborhood became over run with wild white rabbits.  I am sure the mountain lion that is now being seen at Cat Springs too would appreciate it, but they are way too cute and sweet.
